Meet Liz Cuccinello

My career began working full time for a start-up while attending law school at night. During this time I supported the founders in various roles and by the time I graduated, we had grown from 4 to 300+ people and I was the VP of Business Development. After they were acquired, I stayed on as East coast counsel for a year. Later, I followed the founders, helping to grow their other various businesses.

I like to say I “grew up legally” — knowing how clients wanted to be spoken to and not trying to impress them with legalese. As your counsel I want you to be comfortable and clearly understand, not be confused or buried in unnecessary jargon. Because I’ve worked in so many growth environments, I’ve worn all aspects of the legal hat — from HR to sales and business development as well as supporting finance, marketing and product development.

Eventually, I started to get asked by fellow attorneys to support them if they were out on leave or needed backup and thus Cuccinello Law was born.

Now for almost a decade, I’ve been helping out companies who need extra GC support, or need a Fractional GC to help them get started. And because I have a start-up mindset, I’m there when you need me and am a dependable resource who prioritizes relationships, not retainers.

When I’m not practicing law

I live in Rockland County with my husband and four kids and was recently made a very proud Grandma. I love riding my Peloton (Robin and Cody are my go-tos) and having fright fest movie nights and family game nights with the kids. Oh, and to add to my full house, we have four rescue dogs: Cocoa, Dakota, Zeus and Athena.
